My journey with dance began in Italy, where I'm originally from. I started dancing at the age of 8, exploring a wide range of styles including gymnastics, hip hop, reggaeton, breakdance, popping, and locking. My passion for dance has always been diverse and dynamic, allowing me to express myself in various ways.
In 2013, I discovered Cuban salsa, which ignited a deeper love for Latin dance. This new passion led me to explore these rich and vibrant styles more intensively. In 2017, I moved to the Netherlands, where I expanded my repertoire by dancing Salsa On2 and Bachata Sensual. Over the years, I have had the privilege of performing salsa and bachata shows at various parties and congresses in Europe, sharing my love for these dances with audiences.
Now, I've decided to return to my roots and focus on where my true passion lies—Cuban dance. At Ochumale Dance Academy, I am excited to share the joy and richness of Cuban culture and dance with others, helping them to discover their own love for body movement and musicality.
My journey as a dance and fitness instructor has been deeply rooted in my passion for music and movement. Growing up in Caracas, Venezuela, I've been immersed in the rhythms of music from a young age, and this love has driven me to explore and excel in various dance styles, including Salsa Casino, Timba, and Latin Rhythms.
With over 15 years of experience as a choreographer and dancer, I've had the privilege of teaching and performing in diverse locations, such as the USA, Aruba, Venezuela, and Curaçao. My certifications, including the IAF Personal Trainer and International Nutrition Coaching, have equipped me with a broad skill set that I bring to my classes and workshops.
In my teaching, I aim to create an engaging and educational atmosphere where everyone feels inspired and challenged. I pride myself on my ability to connect with students, whether they're beginners or advanced, and I strive to make each session not only a workout but also a cultural experience.
Beyond teaching, I've been involved in organizing and leading major events and workshops, and I've founded the Social & Fitness Manía movement to promote the importance of dance and fitness in everyday life. For me, teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it's about sharing my passion for music and helping others discover the joy and benefits of dance and wellness.
